PXG is seeking a highly experienced and driven Senior Fashion Product Development Manager to lead their growing apparel division. The Senior Fashion Product Development Manager will collaborate closely with the design and production teams, sourcing fabrics and trims that align with PXG’s aesthetic vision. This includes meticulous attention to detail regarding the appearance, texture, and overall quality of each garment. Building and maintaining fabric and trim libraries, as well as developing Time & Action calendars and utilizing Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) systems, will be crucial to streamline the development process.
A core responsibility of this role involves strategic cost management without compromising quality. The Senior Fashion Product Development Manager will be adept at negotiating prices with suppliers, benchmarking costs, and optimizing production processes to achieve target margins. Identifying and onboarding new vendors will also be necessary to maintain a competitive edge and ensure access to the latest materials and technologies.
This position requires a global perspective, involving international travel to visit suppliers and attend trade shows. Participating in fittings and project meetings, ensuring deadlines are met, and proactively addressing any development-related issues are essential functions. The successful candidate will be a problem solver with a keen eye for detail and a commitment to delivering exceptional results.
Continuous improvement is paramount at PXG. The Senior Fashion Product Development Manager will be responsible for driving innovation by introducing new fabrics, trims, and performance-enhancing features to the apparel line. This includes working closely with the design team to assess lab dips, strike-offs, and samples, ensuring they meet PXG’s rigorous standards.
A strong technical background in product development is a must, coupled with exceptional communication and collaboration skills.
