Roadies Fashion: Get the Look from MTV India’s Hit Show

Styling for MTV India Roadies X2 was an incredible experience. Working with Rannvijay Singh Singha, Bani J, and Karan Kundra allowed for a deep dive into creating distinctive and impactful looks for each personality. The process began with extensive shopping in Mumbai, sourcing outfits from popular brands like Zara, Celio, Ed Hardy, Jack & Jones, Forever 21, Aldo, Crash Boom Bang, Hues, and Koovs. The journey spanned across Pune, Delhi, Kolkata, and Chandigarh, culminating back in Mumbai, each location bringing its own unique backdrop to the Roadies style narrative.

Creating the Roadies look involved early mornings and a hands-on approach. Imagine 4:30 AM starts in chilly temperatures, feeling like an audition for Roadies itself! The day would begin by gently coaxing the male judges out of bed, a process that involved coffee and a bit of persuasion to get them into the styled outfits prepared. Bani J, on the other hand, was always ready and waiting, embodying effortless style.

The fashion direction for Roadies X2 leaned towards edgy, casual chic with a street style influence. Think leather jackets, denim, bold prints, and comfortable yet stylish footwear. The aim was to reflect the adventurous and daring spirit of the show through the contestants’ and judges’ wardrobes. Mixing high-street brands with unique, custom pieces helped to create looks that were both accessible and aspirational.

Bani J’s style on Roadies X2 was particularly noteworthy. Her looks often incorporated bold elements like leather skirts, crop tops, and statement boots, reflecting her strong and independent personality. Accessorizing with edgy jewelry and unique footwear completed her signature Roadies Fashion aesthetic.

Rannvijay and Karan’s styling focused on rugged and masculine looks. Denim shirts, leather jackets, and comfortable trousers were key pieces, often paired with sunglasses and stylish sneakers or boots. The emphasis was on creating outfits that were both fashionable and practical for the demanding environment of Roadies.

Karan Kundra’s Roadies fashion often featured a mix of smart casual and edgy elements. Blazers paired with printed shirts or denim, combined with trousers from brands like Celio and Zara, created a look that was both refined and ready for action. Sunglasses were a constant accessory, adding to the cool Roadies vibe.

The color palettes used in Roadies fashion ranged from classic blacks and greys to bolder hues like mustard and oxblood. Mixing textures and patterns added depth to the outfits, while ensuring comfort and practicality remained paramount. The styling aimed to enhance each judge’s personality and create a cohesive visual identity for the show.

Accessories played a crucial role in completing the Roadies fashion looks. From sunglasses and watches to rings and scarves, each element was carefully chosen to enhance the overall style and reflect the adventurous spirit of the show. Brands like G-Shock and Ray-Ban added to the cool factor.

Styling Rannvijay for seven years has been a journey of evolving fashion and personal style. Witnessing his style progress and continuously finding fresh looks for him has been a truly rewarding part of the Roadies experience. Roadies fashion is more than just clothing; it’s a representation of adventure, individuality, and bold self-expression.
