Fashion Camp at Create. Design. Sew. offers a unique summer experience for aspiring designers of all ages and skill levels. For 15 years, we’ve provided programs that build confidence, teach responsibility, and spark creativity through hands-on fashion projects. Whether you’re a beginner or a returning camper, there’s a program perfect for you.
Our week-long summer camps kick off after Memorial Day Weekend with single-day options to get you started. Our core week-long programs begin June 2nd. We offer a variety of fashion camp experiences, from sewing to sketching, ensuring a fun and educational summer for all participants.
Sewing Camp, designed for ages 8-16, caters to both beginners and experienced sewers. Campers will learn to master the sewing machine while completing two projects throughout the week.
For younger aspiring designers aged 7-8 (or entering 2nd grade), Junior Sewing Camp provides a comprehensive introduction to the world of fashion. This program combines machine sewing with engaging games, challenges, fashion sketching, and hand-sewing, creating a dynamic learning environment.
Full Day Camp, also for ages 8-16, immerses campers in a full day of fashion design activities. Participants will complete four projects throughout the week, honing their sewing skills and expanding their creative horizons. This immersive experience allows for deeper exploration of design techniques and project completion.
Single Day Sewing Camps and Saturday Sewing Camps offer a taste of the Fashion Camp experience in a single day format. These options, perfect for busy schedules, allow campers aged 8-16 to choose and complete a single Fashion Camp project.
For those interested in the visual aspects of fashion design, the Sketching Workshop teaches the fundamentals of fashion illustration to students aged 7-16. Participants learn to use a croquis and sketch flats, essential skills for any aspiring fashion designer. Learning to sketch designs is a crucial part of the design process.
Finally, Sewing 101 provides a comprehensive introduction to sewing for ages 8-16. This in-depth class covers machine operation and guides students through creating a reversible tote bag. This four-class series offers flexible scheduling options, with classes available six days a week. It’s the perfect starting point for a lifelong love of sewing.
