The St. Michael’s All Angels Church was transformed into a vibrant runway on Monday, February 9th, as the Noah’s Ark Thrift Store presented its annual fashion show. Guests filled the church aisles, eagerly anticipating the display of unique styles and affordable elegance showcased by volunteer models.
The runway came alive with a diverse array of outfits, from graceful gowns perfect for evening galas to playful frocks ideal for daytime events. The models confidently strutted, demonstrating the hidden gems and fashionable finds available at the Noah’s Ark Thrift Store.
“It just went fabulous,” exclaimed Shirlla Cuscaden, a dedicated volunteer at the thrift shop, highlighting the event’s resounding success. The fashion show drew a crowd exceeding 100 attendees, proving its enduring appeal and importance within the community.
This beloved event, now in its 23rd year, originated from a simple yet brilliant idea to fill an unexpected gap in a church gathering. Milena Eskew, the show’s long-standing Master of Ceremonies, recounted how the fashion show was born out of necessity when a scheduled speaker was unable to attend. In a moment of inspiration, Eskew suggested an impromptu fashion show using clothing from the thrift store.
