Best Universities for Fashion Design

Parsons School of Design has been ranked the top fashion school globally for 2024, according to a CEOWORLD magazine survey. The Fashion Institute of Technology (FIT) and London College of Fashion secured second and third place, respectively. This prestigious list highlights the leading institutions offering exceptional fashion design programs.

Drexel University’s Antoinette Westphal College of Media Arts & Design earned the fourth spot, followed by ESMOD (École supérieure des arts et techniques de la mode) and Polimoda (Ente per le Arti applicate alla Moda e al Costume) in fifth and sixth place. The Royal College of Art secured the seventh position in the ranking.

Completing the top ten are Central Saint Martins at the University of the Arts London, the Swedish School of Textiles at the University of Borås, and the National Institute of Fashion Technology (NIFT) in New Delhi, holding the eighth, ninth, and tenth positions, respectively. These institutions represent a diverse range of educational approaches and global perspectives within the fashion world.

The CEOWORLD magazine rankings are derived from a comprehensive survey of 286,000 individuals, including fashion executives, graduates, influencers, professionals, academics, employers, and recruiters across 1600 territories. Data collection spanned from November 15, 2023, to February 22, 2024, employing telephone, online, and postal methods.

The survey assessed institutions based on a 100-point scale across seven key performance indicators: Perceived Global Brand Influence, Recruiters Responses, Employers Feedback, Job Placement Rate, Admission Eligibility, Specialization, and Academic Reputation. These metrics provide a holistic view of each institution’s strengths and contributions to the fashion industry.

CEOWORLD magazine’s research methodology emphasizes primary research and evidence-based analysis, utilizing publicly available data, independent research, and comprehensive surveys. The survey design ensures confidentiality, enabling participants to express unbiased opinions. The results offer valuable insights for aspiring fashion designers seeking top-tier education.

The ranking acknowledges its limitations, recognizing the existence of other excellent fashion programs beyond the listed institutions.
