Joe Burrow, quarterback for the Cincinnati Bengals, and Justin Jefferson, wide receiver for the Minnesota Vikings, recently took Paris Fashion Week Men’s by storm. The former LSU teammates and NFL stars attended shows, toured ateliers, and even walked the runway at Vogue World 2024.
Burrow told Vogue that his trip was inspired by a desire to learn more about the fashion industry. He and Jefferson were spotted front row at the Amiri show, exploring the Hermès atelier, and enjoying Parisian dining, including what Jefferson described as the “fire” lobster and shrimp at L’Avenue. This was Jefferson’s first time in Paris, and while he noted the city’s hectic traffic, he praised its overall atmosphere. He expressed his admiration for Amiri’s relaxed and chill style, which aligns with his personal aesthetic and ambition to be recognized beyond his football career.
The highlight of their trip was participating in the Vogue World 2024 runway show. Burrow, sporting a backless black suit with satin lapels designed by Peter Do, described the experience as a way to step outside his comfort zone and grow personally. He predicted a continued merging of the fashion and sports worlds.
Jefferson echoed Burrow’s sentiments, emphasizing the importance of expanding his horizons beyond the football field. Their presence at Paris Fashion Week solidified the increasing intersection of sports and high fashion, demonstrating how athletes are becoming influential figures in the style world.
