Fashionistas Show Off Sporty Styles at Munson Museum of Art

The Munson Museum of Art’s “Fierce Fashionistas” event will showcase how female athletes have influenced fashion from the 1960s to today. This Fashionistas Show, held on September 14th, celebrates women of all shapes and sizes, highlighting the evolution of athleisure and sportswear. The event is inspired by the museum’s summer exhibition, “Sporting Fashion: Outdoor Girls 1800 to 1960.”

Fashionistas Show: A Celebration of Women in Sport and Style

The fashionistas show will feature ensembles from local vintage store Thrift “ish,” curated by owner Carlene Mahanna, who will co-host with Man Hue Duong of Yoga Shala. Attendees are encouraged to embrace their inner fashionista and dress in their most creative athleisure or sportswear, representing any decade or sport. Prizes will be awarded for the most stylish looks, including a chance to strut their stuff on the runway.
